DaniAshwin Dani

Ashwin’s primary research interests are in estimation and control algorithms for nonlinear systems with applications to various robotic systems, which will bring societal impacts. Broad research interests are: designing human-robot collaborative systems, autonomous navigation, multi-agent systems.

Ashwin received his BEngg degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering Pune (CoEP), India. He worked as a software development engineer for a year with International Business Machines (IBM). He received his MS and PhD degrees from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at the University of Florida. He worked as a research assistant in the Nonlinear Controls and Robotics group under the advisement of Prof. Warren Dixon at the University of Florida. He was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with Prof. Soon-Jo Chung and Prof. Seth Hutchinson.
